Additional Information

Richard NORTH:

Born: Ramsey, Hampshire, England

Died: 01 MAR 1667, Saliisbury, Essex Co., MA

Notes:

Will dated 26 Jan 1648, probated 14 Apr 1668. He died March 1, 1667. The following notes have come from "A Study of George and Susanna martin" by Janet Ireland Delorey:
Richard North emigrated to New England probably after 16 may 1640, when
he was left a legacy by his brother Thomas North and before June 1641
when he was made a freeman of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Although
the name of Richard North appeared in 1639 at Salisbury as one of those
receiving land in the first division of land, it appears that this was
entered at a later date. The early copy in the Massachusetts Archives
does not include him. This is supported by the legacy of his brother,
Thomas North. Under the terms of his will of May 1640, the lands of
Thomas, after the decease or remarriage of his wife, were to revert to
his daughters Elizabeth and Susan North. However, if they died before
marriage, the premises would revert to his brother Richard North. It
seems unlikely that Thomas would have left such a legacy to a brother
who had already removed to New England. In any event, Susanna entered
New England as an unmarried woman of about twenty years of age.

Johane BARTRAM:

Notes:

One researcher suggests her first name may have been Ursula

(02) Jeane NORTH:

Notes:

As of 2004, no additional data had been found by James R. Hadley, the writer of these note about her except a baptismal record from the Olney Bishop's Transcript at the Buckinghamshire Record Office, Aylesbury, England

(03) John NORTH:

Buried: 1617

Born: about 1619

Died: about 1619

Buried: 04 NOV 1619

Notes:

He was baptized March 28, 1615/6. This data is from the Olney Bishop's Transcript at the Buchinghamshire Record Office in Aylesbury, England. From the Olney Bishop's Transcriptsat the Buckinghamshire Record Office in Aylesbury, England can be found notes indicating he by baptized Jan 16, 1619/20. In addition there is a listing of his burial on Nov. 4, 1619 and lists him as a "householder. (It is apparent there were two different John North's in this family and the second John was probably name after the first John that had died.)

(04) Martyn NORTH:

Buried: 1617

Notes:

The only record, as of 2004 that has come to the attention of James R. Hadley and the writer of these notes is the burial of Martyn in 1617. This is from the Olney Bishop's Transcript at the Buckinghamshire Record Office in Alylesbury, England. It is from this one bit of information about his burial that his birth and death date is surmised and that he probably died in infancy.

(05) Hester NORTH:

Notes:

From the Olney Bishop's Yranscripts at the buckinghamshire Record Oddice in Aylesbury, England can be found the note which indicates she was the daughter of "Rychard North and bapitzed, same day, April 12, 1618." One can only guess what the words "same day" mean. Perhaps, it could mean another child was babtized the same day; possibly being born the same day as the baptism or perhaps something different.

(07) Hepzibah NORTH:

Born: 1621

(09) Susan NORTH:

Notes:

She was Baptized "last of Sept, 1621" as found in the Olney Bishop's Transcripts at the Buchinghamshire Record Office in Aylesbury, England.
