Additional Information

Lyman HADLEY:

Notes:

The marriage certificate to Laura Ann Pierson (Prim) list this as his 2nd marriage and yet it appears to be his 3rd marriage. His age was listed as being 57 and a resident of Colchester, VT. His occupation was that of a joiner and his place of birth as being Craftsbury. His fathers name is given as Samuel and his mothers name given as Olly (Drew)
Lyman appears on the 1840 census in Colchester, Chittenden Co., VT, on the 1850 census (with wife Polly and 4 children) in Enosburg, Franklin Co., VT, and on the 1860 densus (along with wife Rebedda) in Burlington, Chittenden, Co., VT.: on the 1870 and 1880 census (along with wife Laura Ann and 3 Prim children) in Colchester, Chittenden, Co., VT.

Polly M DUNAVON:

Buried: Enosburg Cemetery, West Enosurg, Franklin, Vermont

Name: Polly DUNAVON

Died: 13 MAR 1855, Enosburgh, Franklin County, VT

There may be a problem with the wives of Lyman and the mothers of his children. These is some indication that Polly was a nick name and the Rebecca was her real name. As such, this would indicate, as far as the attached records of concerned, that Lyman only had two wives and the Polly and Rebecca were the same person. (Note from Betty White)
